Sally Thorne lives in Canberra, Australia, with her husband and pug puppy, Dottie. They live in a small house filled with vintage toys, too many cushions, and a haunted dollhouse— which has its own Instagram (@blackthornemanor). She owns every single book in the original The Baby-Sitter’s Club series. She also enjoys driving her yellow 1972 Volkswagen Beetle, and travels frequently to Japan. 

She treasures her memories of her pug, Delia, and her paint quarter horse, Louie, both now angels in heaven. They are dearly missed every single day.

Her debut novel, THE HATING GAME (William Morrow Books, 2016) made Sally a USA Today bestselling author. It has sold in over twenty-five countries and was named in the top 20 romance novels of 2016 by the Washington Post, #7 on Oprah Magazine's Top Romance Novels of all time (2019) and was a top ten finalist in the Goodreads Choice Awards romance category. It has been cited as a book that has reinvigorated the romantic comedy genre. Sally’s second novel 99 PERCENT MINE (William Morrow Books, 2019) debuted on the USA Today Bestseller list and was featured by Goodreads as one of the top 28 hit books for the first half of 2019. 

SECOND FIRST IMPRESSIONS (Avon, 2021) was her third release and was a USA Today Bestseller, a Goodreads Choice Award nominee, and on Amazon's 'Best Romance Books of 2021'.

Sally's fourth book is a historical rom-com titled ANGELIKA FRANKENSTEIN MAKES HER MATCH, (Avon, 2022). It received a starred review from the Library Journal, was one of Apple Books ‘Best Books of September 2022’, and featured in Entertainment Weekly’s This Fall’s Seven Best Romance Novels.

Sally’s fifth release is ROSIE AND THE DREAMBOAT (Amazon Publishing, 2024). It is a short-story, digital-only release, part of Amazon Original Stories Improbable Meet-Cute collection. Sally joined other romance powerhouses to tell sweet tales of outlandish first meetings taking place on Valentine’s Day. ROSIE AND THE DREAMBOAT has been noted by AudioFile Magazine as having a particularly outstanding audiobook!
